Job Description
Supervises all housekeeping staff
The position is ultimately responsible for leadership of the housekeeping department and the associates. This position also oversees and assists in ongoing development of the
standard of operation relating to cleaning processes while ensuring that staff and patients have an impeccable experience. The housekeeping manager trains, mentors and coaches housekeeping associates and is ultimately responsible for the performance of the department.
The position requires inspections of rooms and open areas on a regular basis and facilitates feedback to associates on the quality of cleaning provided.
Requirements
Must have 2 years previous experience with Supervisory or Management in a hospitality environment.
Knowledge of cleaning cart and supplies, washer/dryer, cleaning chemicals and all other cleaning equipment and materials as necessary
Capable of evaluating new supplies and equipment
Experience in training new staff members and the ability to delegate work assignments
Must be able to deal effectively and calmly with difficult situations
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
