Ref No: NSF/41/2018/10/001 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Job Grade: Officer The Job The Appointee will be required to:

Carry out purchasing activities according to approved purchasing processes and policies. Ensure competitive and favorable procurement contracts with all suppliers.
The negotiation and execution of long term procurement contracts for key consumables.
Oversee the daily purchasing operations.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Process vessel requisition and select vendor. Process quotes and select vendor, create and issue PO Confirm delivery time/location/items conditions with supplier/logistics provider/warehouse/agent/vessel, and confirm delivery onboard.
Qualify competitive supply source and integrate sourcing data in business system. Facilitate efficient quote comparison and benchmarking.
Establish, maintain and review procurement performance management system and procurement balanced scorecard.
Define contract performance evaluation criteria and monitor contact Performance. Implement supplier relationship management plans, monitor progress/ improvement.

Define policies and operating principle for competitive sourcing, Define policies and operation principle for delivery management. Define logistic services sources during contract life cycle.
Qualify competitive supply source and integrate sourcing data in business system. Facilitate efficient quote comparison and benchmarking.

The Person The right candidate should:

Be a current employee of an NLNG contractor with a valid NLNG Contractor ID Card  
Possess a University degree in Engineering, Business or Financial Management with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower (2.2) division.
Membership of a professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) UK or Nigeria or Institute of Supply Management (ISM) US will be an added advantage.
Possess a minimum of 4-5 years post-graduation experience in a similar or related role in NLNG or any reputable organisation and, currently be performing the role in NLNG.
Possess good commercial skills, customer focus and mindset.
Possess good communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills. Be a Self-starter, with a good track record of delivery.
Be fluent in English as a business and contract language.
Have an understanding of HSE issues and commitment to HSE excellence.
Not be more than 40 years old as at 31st December 2018.
