The Blocks Production Officer will collaborate with the Production Officer to manage the day-to-day operations and manufacturing processes for MSHE building blocks and machinery. This position entails supporting the coordination of production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, addressing operational challenges, and contributing to the enhancement of production efficiency.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project execution, and stakeholder engagement to achieve organizational objectives. Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation, driving efficiency and productivity. Analyze performance metrics and financial data to inform decision-making and present actionable insights to senior leadership. Maintain open communication channels with internal and external partners to foster strong relationships and alignment with company goals.
Provide assistance to the Production Officer in directing the manufacturing team and managing all facets of the production workflow.
Assist in creating and executing production schedules to ensure alignment with customer demand and adherence to project timelines.
Oversee production operations to evaluate current processes, pinpointing chances to enhance workflow efficiency, boost productivity levels, and elevate overall quality standards.
Contribute to the establishment and execution of quality control measures and protocols, ensuring products adhere to established specifications.
Analyze equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance personnel to expedite resolution of technical issues.
Deliver comprehensive training and mentorship to production personnel regarding standard operating procedures and essential safety practices.
Examine production metrics and compile detailed reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for submission to the Production Officer.
Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to promptly identify and report any faults or irregularities.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including the Purchasing and Inventory departments, to synchronize production requirements effectively.
Suggest strategic enhancements to processes with innovative ideas aimed at boosting overall operational efficiency.
Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards at all times.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, coupled with expertise in database management systems like SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams are also required. Familiarity with agile methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are a must.
A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
