Job Summary
We are in search of an organized Account Clerk with at least one to two years of professional experience to provide vital support to our Accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards, and contributing to financial reporting and analysis tasks.
Oversee and execute pivotal duties including managing day-to-day operations, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and drive organizational growth. Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Identify and mitigate risks while optimizing processes to improve efficiency. Serve as the primary liaison between senior leadership and staff, facilitating clear communication and alignment with company objectives. Analyze performance metrics to inform data-driven decisions and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while promoting a culture of accountability and innovation.
Help compile and manage accounting records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
Accurately record transactions and maintain up-to-date ledger records.
Responsibilities include assisting with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with established standards.
Provide support in the preparation and management of invoices, processing of payments, and handling of accounts receivable to ensure timely financial transactions.
Facilitate the completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Provide support in the preparation of financial reports and schedules as required.
Responsible for organizing and preserving financial documents in an accurate and systematic filing system.
Conduct additional accounting responsibilities as delegated by management, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
A two-year National Diploma in Accounting is required for consideration.
Minimum of one to two years of practical accounting experience is required.
Demonstrates strong proficiency in widely used accounting software platforms, such as QuickBooks and Sage, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and the ability to develop effective solutions to complex challenges.
Meticulous attention to detail, unwavering integrity, and a high degree of accuracy are essential.
