The services offered by the incumbent will include data entry from the client folders in the facility into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System.
Ensuring that quality checks are run through the entire entry process.
The candidate will be responsible for general support functions within the portfolio of the records unit as regards the client folders

Basic Function:

Ensures accuracy and completeness of all health service data recorded on the data collection tools.
Review and enters facility data into the electronic system according to the Established procedures.
Retrieves and sorts data source documents for electronic database entries, identifies and interprets data to be entered into specific modules. Checks for outliers/variance and correct them before entries.
Works with primary service providers (or the M&E focal persons) to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data and verifies accuracy of data before entry into any electronic systems.
Maintains confidentiality of information on source documents or in databases.
Enter client information accurately into the EMR system as assigned to him/her by STO or Facility M&E
Ensure data entered by him/her is error free following review by STO or Facility M&E
Completes entry of assigned number of folders per day or month.
Verify patient demographics, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, appropriate clinical information and all other pertinent data found in the patient folder/care card
Perform other M&E-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must possess a minimum of a post-secondary diploma.
Must be computer literate.
Experience in implementing EMR will be an added advantage.
Ownership of a personal laptop will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of medical records management procedures.
Knowledge of health program activities, guidelines and processes.
Efficient and effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively and adhere to timelines.
Ability to follow instructions provided in verbal or written format.
