Duties
Responsible for proper handling of audio equipment, set-up, tuning and break-down.
Possess ‘aural skills’ and a sense of timing.
Attendance to regular Church services.
Establishment of a sound check process for all services at least 1 hour before services.
Attendance at and provision of support during all audio related rehearsals.
Coordinating the audio set-up, tuning and break-down for studio recording.
Development of a documented training plan for selected Audio Media department stewards to be implemented within 6 months.
Qualifications and Experience
Have sound engineering skills and knowledge of the relevant tools and technology.
Possess ‘aural skills’ and a sense of timing.
Have a sense of fun and be able to think laterally – creating sounds, especially for fantasy games, requires creativity and imagination.
Have excellent communication skills to be able to understand what speakers, musicians and singers want from you and to keep up with any changes.
Be able to communicate effectively with the video and media teams.
Have good organizational skills to deal with the amount of sound effects and music required for services, programs, events, meetings and to co-ordinate recording sessions.
Pay close attention to detail and be able to work to deadlines.
Have a feel for the atmosphere of services, programs, events and meetings.
