Key Accountabilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring timely updates and alignment with project objectives. Execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives to drive operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategic solutions. Monitor progress through established KPIs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and best practices. Oversee resource allocation, risk management, and compliance with organizational policies to mitigate potential disruptions.

Conduct the installation and commissioning of newly acquired machinery and equipment in strict adherence to both manufacturer guidelines and company standards.

Perform preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance on all mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation and reliability.

Maintain, diagnose, and restore mechanical systems to ensure minimal operational disruptions and peak reliability.

Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify underlying issues behind mechanical faults and develop and recommend appropriate corrective measures to address them.

Examine data and equipment performance records to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and maximize machine efficiency.

Maintain precise records of maintenance actions, safety inspections, and repair documentation.

Work collaboratively with controllers, engineers, and production teams to resolve mechanical issues and enhance system performance.

Ensure unwavering adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all maintenance and repair activities.

Assist in executing ongoing improvement projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance department’s operations.

Seeking a qualified candidate with demonstrated proficiency in project management, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication abilities. The ideal applicant will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and possess at least three years of experience in a similar role. Key duties include overseeing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring deliverables meet established standards. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with the ability to adapt to evolving project demands. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a collaborative mindset are required to drive successful outcomes.

Higher National Diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.

With a minimum of five years of practical experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in the field.

Proficiency in diagnosing and rectifying technical issues efficiently is essential, along with a strong ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Experience in troubleshooting complex problems across multiple platforms and proficiency in diagnostic tools are required. Additionally, the role demands excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work under pressure while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to explain technical issues and resolutions.
