Job Summary
We are in search of a proficient and reliable Bricklayer to become part of our Maintenance Department, where you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of factory buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
The Bricklayer will undertake the construction, repair, and ongoing maintenance of brick, block, and concrete structures, including floors, walls, drainage systems, and other masonry-related tasks throughout the factory facility.
This position collaborates closely with the Maintenance Team to uphold the operational safety, reliability, and upkeep of production facilities.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and efficiency standards. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance productivity and streamline processes. Lead cross-functional teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to foster collaboration and achieve project milestones. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and prepare reports to evaluate operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and maintaining strong relationships to support business continuity. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Skilled craftsmen are tasked with the precise installation of bricks, blocks, and concrete materials to construct walls, partitions, drains, platforms, and various other factory structures.
Perform repairs to compromised masonry, plastering, tiling, and concrete elements throughout the facility.
Design, install, and upkeep flooring systems, drainage networks, foundational elements, and structural supports to ensure stability and functionality.
Interpret building drawings, measurements, and specifications to support maintenance and renovation initiatives.
Prepare mortar and concrete according to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Provide support for renovation, expansion, and civil maintenance initiatives within the manufacturing facility.
Conduct thorough examinations of buildings and structures to detect any flaws that necessitate repair or structural reinforcement.
Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces are consistently maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
Ensure that all tasks are performed in strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and protocols.
Work collaboratively with maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors throughout the duration of projects and planned shutdowns.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience is required. 4+ years of relevant work experience are necessary for this role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are prerequisites. Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum is preferred. Excellent communication abilities and teamwork capabilities are crucial for collaboration in a dynamic environment.
A minimum qualification of SSC, Trade Test Certificate, Technical Certificate, or their equivalent in Masonry, Bricklaying, Building Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
A relevant industry certification will be considered favorably.
Proficient in interpreting fundamental construction drawings and accurately reading measurements.
Seeking candidates with proven experience in the relevant field, demonstrated through at least three years of professional practice or equivalent industry exposure. Proficiency in core competencies, such as project management, stakeholder communication, or technical troubleshooting, is essential. Minimum of four years of hands-on experience in bricklaying and masonry is required, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance settings.
Preferred candidates will possess prior experience in factory or industrial maintenance environments.
Proven expertise in executing plastering, block laying, concrete work, tiling, and structural repair tasks is required.

Compensation for this position includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
A monthly compensation of N150,000 is offered for this position.
