This position is offered on a contract basis for an initial term of six months, with the potential for an extension of up to twelve months.
We are in search of a seasoned ESG Researcher to contribute to a collaborative study examining the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects of the oil industry in Nigeria.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth and efficiency. Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with company objectives and compliance with industry regulations. Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects, fostering collaboration and accountability. Monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making. Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, vendors, and internal departments, to enhance satisfaction and streamline communication. Serve as a primary point of contact for critical issues, resolving conflicts and escalating matters as needed to maintain operational continuity.
Perform comprehensive research and data analysis specifically focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
Analyze industry reports, regulatory policies, and pertinent literature to extract critical insights and trends.
Develop comprehensive research reports, succinct briefs, and compelling presentations of the highest quality.
Facilitate stakeholder interaction and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or higher in disciplines such as Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Sustainability, or an analogous field is required.
Experienced professionals with a track record of performing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), sustainability, governance, or policy research specific to Nigeria are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in the Nigerian oil and gas industry is essential.
Strong proficiency in conducting thorough research, analyzing complex data, and producing well-structured, insightful reports.
Demonstrated capability to work autonomously while consistently fulfilling deadlines.
In-person work location, requiring physical presence at the designated workplace.
