Consultant – Rapporteur for Media Training and Training on the Use of Freedom of Information to Request for Information

Purpose

The main purpose of this consultancy is to produce a detailed report on the trainings.

Consultancy Objectives The objectives include:

Rapporteur during the meeting on the subject matter.
Produce a detailed report.

Deliverables:

The consultant is expected to produce a detailed report that will capture all the presentations and plenary discussions.

Consultant’s Qualifications The consultant shall have:

Minimum of three years’ experience in delivering similar assignment.
Good writing and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively lead and interact with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Confidentiality, Disclosure of Information

Information will be made available for the Consultant and his/her personnel, on a need to know basis.  
Consultant’s personnel requiring access to sensitive information or assets must hold a valid, appropriate level of personnel security screening.
The Consultant will undertake to keep confidential the variety of information and other confidential materials to which this work gives her access.
It is understood and agreed that the Consultant shall, during and after the effective period of the Contract, treat as confidential and not divulge, unless authorised in writing by the SCRAP-C Manager and with the consent of the Country Director, any information obtained in the course of the performance of the Contract.

Ownership of Outputs:

The outputs of this contract as stipulated in the terms of reference belong to ActionAid Nigeria

Timeline The total duration of this consultancy is 6 days as follows (Activity – No of days):

Rapporteur for training – 6

Fees and Payment

The consultant will be paid based on the total number of days in line with AAN’s consultancy policy rate.
Please note that ActionAid Nigeria will deduct and remit to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) a 5% Withholding Tax from the total consultancy fees in accordance with the Nigerian Tax Law.
To this effect, the consultant will be required to provide his or her Tax Identification Number (TIN).
