Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

About the role

Sitting within the recently created PIF (Programme Innovation and Funding) group the post holder will play a key role in supporting quality M&E design and development processes for a range of programme types, while supporting in-country staff in the monitoring of on-going programme work.
The post holder will additionally play a role in liaising across other M&E functions within the organisation, to further support the development of M&E processes and approaches.
The role will also support broader programme and proposal design; systematic programme monitoring; and the production of sector leading evidence and learning.
Christian Aid works on a partnership model and as such the role will have a particular focus on enhancing country programme and partner staff capacity in all aspect of programme cycle management.

About you

You will be an experienced M&E professional, with a proven track record of supporting successful project design processes, to secure grants and service contracts.
You will be able to demonstrate solid, in-country, experience, along with evidence of innovative MEL practice, working on programmes supported by a range of institutional donors.
With the ability to distance support in-country teams, you will also have the flexibility to travel to support design, training and facilitation processes at short notice.
Knowledge of current donor M&E requirements, emerging trends, digital applications and relevant communities of practice will also be key.
As will your time management skills, and your ability to operate in a large and complex organisation.

The salary range quoted is for a UK location with London weighting applied. Rates for other locations will relate to existing scales operating in those countries.
