Management control: monitoring transparency in JRS financial expenses and procedures, control and reliability of market prices …;
Review of purchasing policies;
Pay teachers incentives in the field;
Advise the Project Director and the Human Resources Officer on the appropriateness of recruiting new staff under the project budget lines;
To be reassured of the effectiveness of the purchases made by the logistics;
Keep a well-informed daily cash book in all sections and up-to-date
Perform any task related to the usual responsibilities of a financier.
Development of projectsAssist the National Director and the Project Director in the preparation of budgets and financial monitoring of projects.Reporting and communication
Inform the National Director of activities according to JRS financial procedures;
Send to the Regional Office the financial information according to the defined mechanisms and formats in a timely fashion;
Collaborate with the Regional Finance Manager to prepare the reports to the donors;
Develop JRS Abuja’s consolidated financial reports, spending and monitoring plans;
Participation in JRS coordination meetings and JRS National / Regional Meetings
Develop financial documents and articles for JRS communications.
RepresentationIn coordination with the Country Director, JRS representation in Education Clusters or sectoral meetings with UN Representatives, other Agencies and Humanitarian Partners and Local Government.Evaluation
Evaluate and identify problems or new opportunities and propose solutions
Evaluate expected project results and expenditure levels for better budgeting of activities the following year.
Profile rquiredTrainingUniversity degree (at least BAC + 3) in the fields of intervention chosen: economics, management, accounting, audit-control or any equivalent diploma.Experience and qualification
Work experience of at least two years in the humanitarian field and / or post of finance manager
Proficiency in English (read, written and spoken) and good level in French (read, written and spoken). Knowledge of a local language would be an asset.
Experience in proposal preparation and budgeting of projects and financial reports
Mastery of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Sage-SAARI, ACCESS.
