The organization is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join its dedicated analytical division. This role will involve close collaboration with a team specializing in evaluating financial institutions—both bank and non-bank—throughout the African region.

Oversee and manage a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities, ensuring all tasks are executed with precision and efficiency. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and drive organizational success. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators. Accurate ratings are essential to the role, ensuring precise evaluations through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established guidelines. The position requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, with a focus on delivering reliable and consistent results. Key responsibilities include assessing and verifying data, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures as needed to uphold the integrity of the rating process.

Conduct comprehensive fundamental credit assessments for a diverse portfolio comprising Nigerian financial institutions, insurance firms, and corporate entities. Share your findings and insights in committee presentations.

Acquire a comprehensive grasp of applicable methodologies and demonstrate proficiency in their practical implementation.

Stay abreast of market trends and validate rating assessments to maintain accuracy and forward-looking insights.

Facilitates clear and professional interactions with financial markets and issuers, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information while maintaining strong relationships. Requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to convey complex financial concepts in an accessible manner. Responsible for bridging communication gaps between stakeholders to foster transparency and trust.

Develop and sustain strong, high-quality connections with fixed-income investors, financial media representatives, and senior executives within financial institutions.

You will work autonomously while collaborating with the broader analytical team to strengthen the Company’s Banking, Corporate, and Insurance franchise, with a primary focus on cultivating and expanding relationships with key external stakeholders.

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in [industry/field], preferably holding a degree in a related discipline. A strong proficiency in communication is essential, with demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats, complemented by prior experience in public speaking.

Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and a track record of applying analytical methods effectively.

Highly organized and efficient, you possess strong multitasking capabilities and consistently deliver results within tight timeframes.
