We seek an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, develop, and optimize our foundational services and API infrastructure.
In this position, you will assume complete responsibility for the backend architecture, enhance database performance, and maintain the integrity, resilience, and continuous availability of our systems.
Oversee and execute a broad range of operational duties, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established protocols. Manage workflows, coordinate team efforts, and maintain productivity standards to meet organizational objectives. Address challenges promptly, implement corrective measures, and foster an environment that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and drive strategic decision-making. Provide guidance to staff, resolve conflicts, and support professional development initiatives to enhance overall team performance. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Design scalable, resilient backend systems and microservices characterized by robustness, clarity, and ease of maintenance.
Develop and implement robust, high-performance RESTful APIs with a focus on security and seamless integration.
Database Optimization: Implement advanced query tuning, refine schema architecture, and deploy effective caching mechanisms to efficiently manage substantial traffic demands.
Infrastructure & DevOps: Work collaboratively on continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, and server performance monitoring initiatives.
Mentorship responsibilities include conducting code reviews for peer pull requests and guiding mid-level engineers in adopting best practices.
Additionally, other duties as assigned may be required.
Requirements
Requirements include holding a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
Requires a minimum of four years of hands-on backend development experience at a production level.
Strong expertise in Laravel development is required, along with in-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Regis.
Experienced in architecting scalable systems, effectively handling queues, and developing microservices, demonstrating a strong history of success in these areas.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Docker, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or GCP, and expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
