Reports To: General ManagerJob SummaryThe Head of Accounting & Audit will spearhead the Accounting arm of the Group, providing finance & audit services and leading the actualisation of operational goals and growth objectives. You will lead business development and excellent delivery of services, engaging in proactive measures to win business and leverage opportunities.Main Responsibilities
Produce and drive the implementation of TLFirst Accounting strategies, programmes, activities and processes. Monitor progress and report updates as and when due.
Pursue profitable new business with audit/accounting clients by developing and maintaining effective key customer relationships.
Ensure cost-effective, efficient, timely and excellent delivery of accounting and auditing services in alignment with quality requirements, exceeding client expectations.
Prepare and analyze programmes proposals, letters, business documents and programmes/projects. Carry out quality assurance on activities and documents.
Develop innovative and strategic work programmes and projects across focus areas that respond to clients’ emerging needs and position the organisation as an industry leader.
Build company presence and knowledge by engaging in media and professional activities, and growing relationships with partners, vendors, regulatory bodies and the government.
Participate in research projects on which the company is leading or supporting role to produce briefs and reports as required.
Research existing and emerging programme and policy areas to organisation focus areas. Analyze implementation of local and global laws and policies, and develop recommendations.
Maintain company brand characters including good record keeping and documentation, culture of innovation and collaboration, ethical and industry compliance.
Conduct extensive research related to clients and relevant to industry. Review competitors, industry and economic trends regularly to mitigate risk and leverage opportunities.
Lead and/or provide technical inputs to accounting and advisory services, supervising the preparation of deliverables and other relevant technical reports, in close collaboration with the relevant work streams, programme leaders, government agencies and sector experts.
Represent the General Manager where necessary, particularly in financial matters and carry out other tasks that may be reasonably assigned.
Person Requirements
Ideally aged 27-40 years, with 7 years accounting/finance and auditing experience.
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with Masters.
Member/Fellow of a chartered professional accounting/finance institute.
