Responsibilities Strategic:
Leads the development, continuous refinement and implementation of strategic plans, operating plans, financial plans, and broad policies governing all aspects of business operations and administration; monitors corporate performance and financial health to ascertain progress toward attainment of stated objectives.
Works with Strategic and Financing Partners/Directors to develop and structure the most effective financing options/solutions and models for its investments as they grow and develop
Ensures the development and implementation of comprehensive and effective marketing plans for the Company
Communicates/reports key information to the Board of Directors and other internal/external stakeholders as regards regulatory issues, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, business performance and other pertinent issues.
Operational:
Provide day-to-day leadership and management to achieve the company’s vision, mission and core values.
Ensures the company achieves its goals
Works with the other senior managers to represent the organization to the local and international financial community, major customers, government agencies and shareholders
Works with the executive team members to direct and coordinate business activities to attain defined profit, return on capital & ROI targets of shareholders/investors and other stakeholders
Identifies business risks, critical issues & determine project goals and solutions
Ensures set up of and proper function outstanding systems and processes
Ensures high level of operational efficiency in the company
Plays a major role with business and product development i.e. signing up key stakeholders, clients, government and other service providers
Ensuring consistent quality of thought, work processes & deliverable;
Reviews and manages business and project plans, activity status reports and financial statements to determine progress towards attaining objectives; revises/aligns Group and Company goals & plans based on current business realities and conditions
Manages and maintains a good working relationship between the company and its suppliers/partners
Reviews operating results of the Company, compares with set objectives, identifies root causes of weak performance and ensures appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results
Works with the marketing, sales, customer relationship and operations teams to develop and execute management strategies, business plans and supporting budgets & policies; translates knowledge and awareness of industry trends to immediate sales opportunities
Develops and fosters effective collaboration between the various functional areas/departments within RTL and other Companies in the Group to ensure an integrated approach to providing high quality products and services to Group customers
Provides oversight of RTL’s activities by providing the highest level of accountability to the Board of Directors; also ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory and Company policies and procedures.
Manages people assets and provides the necessary leadership, guidance, mentoring and counselling to ensure employees grow and develop their potential
Critical review of contracts and other legal documentation relevant to the company’s operations
Performs other assigned duties as delegated by the Board from time to time.
Experience
At least 10 years in strong operational role and at least 5 years in senior management role
Proven experience as a general and business manager
Marketing/business development experience is a must
Strategy, management consulting or financial advisory experience is a plus
Technology related experience is a plus
Entrepreneurial experience is a must.
