You would meticulously manage all aspects of procurement from request for proposal to delivery
You would promote safety and awareness among procurement and Vendor staff aimed at zero accident / incident rate.
You would ensure awards of Contracts and Purchase Orders are in compliance laid down standards and international best practice.
You would oversee estimation of Freight costs and call-off freight forwarding services from suppliers, to meet required on-site dates at minimum costs
You would also ensure the use of company’s ERP for Contracting and Procurement transactions
You would provide sound advice participates in tenders and negotiations of contracts and ensures notable cost savings and value-added additions.
You should have deep technical knowledge of Oil & Gas tendering process, with ability to translate detailed technical documentation and drawings into commercial item requirements for procurement.
The Successful Applicant
A degree in the Sciences (B.Sc.) or Engineering (B.Eng.) Engineering or Supply chain management
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, operations management or a C.P.M Certified Purchasing Manager C.P.M is an added advantage
Minimum Experience 10 years’ experience in Procurement within the Oil and Gas sector, Multinational FMCG
Have good networking skills, strong knowledge of overseas buying houses, e-commerce and contacts in the Oil and Gas sector
