Accountant and Finance Officer Learning Manager (B2B Product)

As the Accountant & Finance Manager, you connect with key business leads/stakeholders and manage various project budgets. You are able to influence our products pricing, analyse costs and essential resources.   You also play a significant role in the company’s financial strategy forecast and prepare sales reports as often as required.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Provide reliable and valid information for organizing and allocating funds
Oversee capital expenditures in all departments to improve transparency and accountability
Pinpoint assets and respond to risks that might affect the achievement of the organisation’s goals
Provide consulting advice to executives on cost management and the economic implications of the organisation’s business activities
Responsible for ensuring timely payment of bills and loans
Prepare and monitor the organisation’s payroll on our HRMS and use of any other accounting software
Process invoice and prepare balance sheets
Ensure that all transactions are covered by adequate sanctions and do not have any deviations
Maintain confidentiality of information to ensure that top secret ideas are accorded the confidentiality they deserve
Oversee and analyse overall company reports before they are submitted for audit
Check for and report financial irregularities
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Participate in financial audit
Assist with budget preparation
Contribute to the review and implementation of financial and accounting policies
Perform other tasks as assigned

Role Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Possess advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Excellent understanding of key accounting concepts
Possess knowledge of necessary computer and accounting software
Familiarity with financial reporting systems and service taxes
Possess an eye for detail
Good professional written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized
Establish strong relationships across departments
Entrepreneurial-minded and comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment while also carrying others along
Strong organizational skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data

Preferred Skill/Qualification

Relevant professional body membership/certification- ACCA, ACA, ICAN or CFA
Member of recognized professional body
Budgeting experience
Proven success with resource management
