JOB SUMMARY
We are in search of a proficient and driven Solar Installation Officer with a minimum of two years of experience in the renewable energy industry. The successful applicant will oversee the installation, commissioning, and upkeep of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and/or industrial applications. This position demands robust technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to operate autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems while ensuring full compliance with all applicable codes and industry standards.
Translate solar system designs and schematics into actionable implementation plans, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
Perform comprehensive on-site evaluations to ascertain system specifications and assess the viability of installation.
Collaborate effectively with project engineers, electricians, and contractors to guarantee punctual and precise installations.
Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for photovoltaic (PV) systems as necessary to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Maintain adherence to established safety protocols and corporate guidelines.
Ensure meticulous documentation of all installations, materials utilized, and service-related actions for comprehensive record-keeping.
Deliver comprehensive support and training to clients regarding system operations and maintenance procedures.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year of practical experience in solar photovoltaic installation or a related renewable energy sector is required.
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field, is required.
Demonstrated expertise in the components, wiring configurations, and safety protocols of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, adhering to established standards such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines.
Proficient in analyzing and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics accurately.
Proficient in utilizing tools, equipment, and testing instruments essential for solar installation projects.
Experience in hybrid systems, battery storage solutions, or solar water heating applications is required.
Relevant certifications, such as NAB CEP or the PV Installation Professional credential, are highly beneficial.
Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
Maintaining peak physical fitness and the adaptability to perform duties at elevated heights or under diverse outdoor environmental conditions are essential requirements.
