MedSupply Services Manager

Location: Port Harcourt – SMI Clinic Reports Functionally To: MedSupply Services Manager Key Responsibilities Systems & Procedures:

Develop, use and continuously improve the Medical Supply Services system
Maintain, integrate and effectively use the Group Standard Lists and development of Country Standard Lists
Develop and continuously improve Medical Supply Services solutions
Align procedures and business rules with Corporate Global Policies and Instructions
Responsible for inventory control in warehouse
Responsible for in country and international logistics including custom clearance.

Suppliers and Commercial support:

Develop and maintain supplier relationships
Negotiate pricing and service level agreements; Provide pricing as required
Identify, pre-qualify and validate “in country” suppliers
Regular audits of suppliers; Provide support and advise in client meetings when necessary
Participate in tender proceedings when applicable

Team Leadership:

Provide guidance, support and leadership to the Medical Supply Services team
Functionally manager the Nigerian Medical Supply Services team
Determine and measure performance indicators of team members
Develop team members to upgrade skills and knowledge

Administrative:

Provide reports and analysis of Medical Supply Services performance
Ensure good governance on invoicing
Adherence to supplier payment terms
Compliance to export / import regulations
Participate and assist in AR meetings

Management Team:

Participate in management meetings
Provide input and participation into projects and initiatives
Provide analysis and reports on activities of the department
Provide comments and solutions on financial performance of Medical Supply Services
Participate in annual budget processes
Participate and be responsible for Medical Supply Services related items on the Service Centre Audit
Drive quality and Adhere to and enforce company policies

Required Work Experience and Qualifications

3-4 years in previous relevant working experience within an Supply Chain function
Proven track record in Procurement or freight forwarding environments
1 -2 years Management or supervisor experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply, Accounting, Operations or related field
A professional qualification in Supply Chain would be a clear advantage
Experience in the Medical Industry
