AFM Recruit is a recruiting firm based in Lekki phase 1. We are currently recruiting Chef for our client, a leading hospitality firm in Lekki, Lagos. The incumbent will be responsible for studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes.JOB DESCRIPTION
Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients
Cooking food in a timely manner and informing wait staffs about daily specials
Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
Monitor food stock and place orders
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
REQUIREMENTS
Certification from a reputable culinary school / related degree
Proven work experience as a Chef
Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management abilities
Updates knowledge of, and familiarity, with safety and sanitation rules.
