Job Summary

The Medical Officer delivers essential primary healthcare services, oversees the operations of the wellbeing clinic, and upholds adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.

This position advances the organization’s health goals by providing preventive care, conducting medical consultations, and managing emergency response efforts.

Assists in coordinating and executing a wide range of administrative duties to support operational efficiency, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence. Collaborates with team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of projects. Maintains accurate records, files, and databases while adhering to organizational policies and confidentiality standards. Prepares reports, presentations, and other documentation as required. Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Perform comprehensive evaluations and physical examinations of patients to assess their medical conditions.

Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses through comprehensive patient evaluations and evidence-based treatments.

Design and execute individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances.

Prescribe medications as necessary and systematically evaluate patient responses to treatment.

Execute necessary medical and surgical interventions as assigned.

Provide comprehensive information to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and available treatment options.

Ensure all patient medical records are meticulously maintained and consistently updated to reflect the most current and accurate information.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional healthcare teams to facilitate the seamless delivery of patient care.

Keep abreast of the latest medical best practices and treatment protocols.

Provide initial medical care and manage basic surgical emergencies as needed.

Capable of effectively utilizing point-of-care diagnostic tools, including STAT devices and ECG machines.

Facilitate a collaborative team approach to the management of complex cases.

Compose comprehensive medical documentation, including detailed reports and discharge summaries.

Provide essential healthcare services to ensure patient well-being and treatment.

Provide care at assigned wellness facilities as directed.

Ensure strict compliance with established medical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain the highest level of patient care and operational integrity.

Execute additional duties as assigned by the team lead and Medical Director.

The successful candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, accompanied by at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines is also critical. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving industry trends.

A medical degree, specifically an MBBS or its equivalent, must be obtained from an accredited institution.

Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) is an essential prerequisite.

Proven track record with at least five to seven years of hands-on clinical practice, demonstrating proficiency in delivering patient-centered care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

A valid medical license to practice medicine is required.

Clinical and diagnostic expertise is essential, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of medical principles and the ability to accurately assess patient conditions.

Proficient in advanced life support techniques is required.

Must possess strong proficiency in computer operations and utilize various software applications effectively. Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the capacity to interact productively and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Compassionate and empathetic patient care is essential in this role, requiring a deep understanding of individual needs and concerns to foster trust and comfort. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to connect meaningfully with patients, ensuring their emotional and psychological well-being throughout their care journey.
