Grade Band: Assistant Manager – ManagerReports directly to CFOJob expectations: To partner the Company and Executive Management teams to provide continual risk assessment in the development of policies, processes, compliance training, internal investigations and implement risk management strategies and policies. Ensure compliance and manage the enforcement of processes, procedures, regulations and guidelines.Key Performance Indicators:
Up-to-date Insurance status.
Evidence of monthly, quarterly and annual payments and filings – NERC, VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, Pension, NSITF, ITF, NHF, Group Life Assurance and all other regulatory obligations.
Annual Tax Clearance Certificates.
Annual PenCom Compliance Certificates.
Quarterly updates on extension of PPAs.
Annual rating report.
Work Experience: 5 – 10 years’ experience in audit/control/compliance function; Experience conducting periodic risk identification, assessment and reporting cycles with a keen sense of regulatory compliance.Experience interfacing with external/regulatory organizations.Knowledge requirements:
Good knowledge of the power industry.
In-depth knowledge of the general regulatory environment and the industry’s standards and regulations.
Deep understanding of ethical rules and laws
Good understanding of broad business issues
Education/Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Law with relevant professional certifications
Postgraduate Qualification in Law and/or Business related field
