Business Development Lead

Job Description

Lead Business Development and Sales efforts within the Nigerian oil & gas sector and broader industrial customer base – Power, Mining, FMCG, Transportation, Manufacturing, Maritime
Deliver material turnover / P&L growth for the Industrial Manpower & Asset Integrity space
Identify and grow a network of industry clients and relationships within the target customer base – production, maintenance, operations, HSSE, asset management and leverage to anticipate client needs
Lead marketing/branding activities at trade fora, technical platforms, during corporate presentations/pilots and on social media to support sales growth
Identify potential new products or services that compliment the Group’s business lines

Support and where necessary lead contractual negotiations with the clients:

Independent management of commercial activities with new and existing clients,
Proactive identification of new business opportunities, potential risks and mitigation options
Cooperate with Operations and Global recruitment teams to ensure smooth execution of client contracts
Prepare detailed status reports / KPIs for both internal and external use

Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing/margins, new products, competitors, sales techniques etc Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience in industrial/technical sales generation
Demonstrated track record of sales / business development growth in Nigeria oil & gas market – able to transition to other key sectors
Excellent customer service, client relations and multi-tasking skills
Proven experience with key industry regulatory stakeholders, union & trade associations
Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
