A dynamic and student-centered Business Studies & EVE Teacher is needed to strengthen our secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will design and deliver dynamic instruction in Business Studies and National Values Education (EVE), fostering students’ intellectual growth, ethical awareness, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver instructional sessions and facilitate learning experiences in strict accordance with established teaching schemes, lesson plans, and institutional policies.
Utilize contemporary, student-centered instructional strategies to deliver Business Studies and National Values Education (EVE) lessons effectively.
Develop comprehensive lesson notes, assignments, class activities, tests, and examination materials that align with established curriculum standards.
Evaluate students’ academic advancement and offer constructive feedback regarding the efficacy and comprehensiveness of educational strategies and instructional approaches.
Collaborate with the Remedial Teacher to assess students with special learning requirements and formulate tailored intervention strategies to support their academic progress.
Enforce classroom discipline by implementing designated sanctions for minor infractions, ensuring adherence to established behavioral standards. Additionally, report significant disciplinary concerns without delay to the Sectional Head for further action.
Deliver compassionate pastoral care while fostering the holistic growth of students in academic achievement, social engagement, moral integrity, and emotional resilience.
Grading students’ classwork, tests, projects, assignments, and examinations promptly and accurately is essential.
Continuously track and document students’ progress, behavior, and accomplishments, providing regular updates and detailed reports to relevant stakeholders.
Develop and sustain clear, professional communication with parents or guardians to provide updates on students’ academic progress and overall well-being.
Foster a collaborative and supportive school culture that encourages teamwork and continuous learning among all community members.
Engage consistently in staff meetings, school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular initiatives to foster collaboration and enhance institutional programs.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Economics, Educational Management, Social Studies, or a closely related field is required.
Holding TRCN certification is considered a valuable asset.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting is required.
Proficient in the Business Studies and National Values Education curricula with a comprehensive understanding of their frameworks and objectives.
Proficient in classroom management and effective communication are essential for this role.
