Description:
Coordination of all site activities and personnel in line with project specification and project mandate
Manage stakeholders responsibly
Carry out all construction supervision/monitoring activities required for the successful delivery of the works assigned.
Lead in the planning and scheduling of construction works. Including organizing the seamless supply of materials to the site to eliminate idle time while avoiding excess inventory.
Monitor overall progress against schedule and report same to line management, highlighting the potential for risks and proposing remedial actions as appropriate.
Ensure works are completed and handed over on schedule.
Prepare weekly project report and “lessons learned”.
Keep a detailed record of project progress, materials procured, Stakeholders contact list, site payments records, bank transactions etc.
Be resourceful in material and labour allocation and willing to learn and implement lean construction strategies in every aspect of the works, to eliminate waste and maximize value.
Qualifications
Degrees/Higher Diplomas in Architecture, Building, Civil Engineering or Quantity Survey
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience on a construction project.
Experience in setting out, substructure construction and reinforced concrete.
Ability to estimate resources, negotiate labour and material rates.
Competency in Computer Aided Design, MS office suite and ability to work and share files and reports remotely, using Google cloud, dropbox etc.
Willing to research, learn and adapt to new and innovative ways of getting work down.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Excellent People management skills
