Job DescriptionManage Hyprops Nigeria Limited (HNL) Offshore diving operations in order to achieve set Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives.Ensure all diving operations are in compliance with set standard and procedures and control Diving Operations costs and budgets by means of ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in all Diving operations and activities.Key Roles & Responsibilities
Follow up and monitor any Project management involving diving Operations activities of Subsea diving and Remotely Operated vehicles (ROV) contracts;
Maintain a library of diving and dive lifting equipment certification in order to ensure that all equipment are being used and maintained appropriately
Ensuring processes and procedures are developed and maintained and followed for all aspects of the Diving Operations activities
Follow-up on pre-inspection and third party quality certification of the diving support vessels, dive lifting equipment in order to provide the necessary safety information;
Supervise tendering activities are conducted efficiently and as per the agreed procures and ensure that documentation and reporting activities are taken care of at all times;
Review and ensure effective maintenance and utilization of diving reports in order to effectively manage future projects, dives, medical examinations, and training courses taken, as relevant;
Ensue effective maintenance of own and others’ occupational health and safety and that all relevant policies and measures are taken at all times;
Follow up and control all management activities of HNL Offshore subsea activities ensuring compliance to set policies and procedures;
Ensure that diving equipment and devices are maintained and used in compliance with their highest safety regulations and standards;
Ensure safe operations to avoid high impact on the environment by means of complying with occupational QHSE standards;
Provide recommendations on hiring new subordinates and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform the tasks and activities;
Supervise the subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results;
Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and
absenteeism;
Key supplier (Diving related) interfaces are managed effectively.
Liaise with the Marine Operations Manager to ensure that that the provision and maintenance of assets and procedures is best in class
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills
IMCA (Gas/Mix/Saturation) Commercial Diving Supervisor certificate.
Held a Diving supervisor qualification min 2 years
8 to 10 years of experience in diving field
2+ years’ shore based experience managing the Oil/Gas diving projects.
Exposure to best practices in leading companies
Knowledge of IRM inspection
Knowledge of diving operations, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) system and safety system
Knowledge of ISO code and other quality management skills
