The Hospitalist oversees the comprehensive management of inpatients, guiding them through every stage of their hospital stay from initial admission to final discharge. Provide medical care for acute illnesses, chronic disease exacerbations, and post-operative recovery to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
Act swiftly and decisively to address urgent inpatient situations and instances of clinical decline, ensuring immediate intervention and patient stabilization.
Promote rigorous, evidence-based clinical practices and maintain strict adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities include managing and supervising admission procedures, with specific duties involving clerical tasks and meticulous documentation.
Conduct daily ward rounds and oversee the prompt evaluation of all patients.
Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning to guarantee seamless and prompt transitions of care.
Develop comprehensive discharge summaries, prescribe medications, and establish detailed follow-up care plans.
Work collaboratively with healthcare specialists, nursing staff, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective interdisciplinary communication.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless referrals and consultations, fostering efficient cross-functional communication and support.
Facilitate seamless transitions of care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings to maintain consistent and high-quality patient support.
Engage actively in collaborative case reviews and discussions involving multiple disciplines.
Create evidence-based protocols and guidelines, then train medical officers and nurses in their implementation for patient care.
Ensure strict adherence to established clinical protocols, guidelines, and evidence-based practices throughout all procedures.
Contribute to quality enhancement programs and clinical review processes.
Monitor quality improvement initiatives and patient safety metrics, encompassing various indicators such as medication errors, readmission rates, and adverse events, to ensure adherence to healthcare standards and protocols.

The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience in software development, with proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative environments are essential. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Hold an accredited medical degree, such as an MBBS or equivalent, from a recognized institution.
NYC completion must be substantiated with official documentation.
With a minimum of five to seven years of hands-on clinical experience, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in patient care and treatment methodologies.
Hold a current and unrestricted medical license to practice.
Proficient in clinical assessment and diagnostic evaluation, with a comprehensive understanding of medical procedures and patient care.
Proficient in advanced life support techniques and protocols.
Proficient in the use of computer systems and software applications is required.
