Job descriptionJob SummaryTo efficiently process RFQs and assist in the development and implementation of a corporate purchasing policy to effect the best value for money arrangements available.Key Responsibilities

Receive RFQs / Quotes and enter in database appropriately
Send our RFQs to manufacturers based on class of materials
Prepare quotes for approval
Follow up to receive manufacturers quote by phone and email
Negotiating with manufacturers/suppliers for quality, cost, & deliveries and with vendors on credit terms and cost of materials
Follow up on vendors for timely delivery and ensure materials received is as per procurement and planning
Checking the bills as per order placed and forward to Manager for approval
Provide guidance and ensure materials are shipped as per requester’s instructions
Develop new vendors in line with business development goals
Maintain proper records of all transactions
Weekly report , purchase orders, payment schedules etc. so as ensure smooth flow of inventory

Professional KnowledgeExperience of issues relating to procurement in the oil/gas industry Certificate in purchasingExperienceMinimum 2-5 years in purchasing and sourcingSkills

Ability to multi- task and manage time effectively
Strong attention to details and negotiation skill
Strong project management skill
Successful candidate may be required to travel occasionally (locally, nationally or abroad) attending trade fairs, and meeting with vendors.
