Logistics Co-Ordinator

Description:Our Client, a service rendering firm, as part of its expansionary drive, the company is desirous of recruiting a Logistics Co-ordinator  to help achieve its organisational goals. KEY PURPOSE OF JOBTo coordinate handling and transportation of customer orders until final delivery in a cost effective and time-bound manner. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESRevenue optimization & Cash Management

Maximize revenue through fulfilment of orders assigned to you, by ensuring trip targets are achieved
Disbursement of loading fees and trip allowance to drivers
Compilation of daily expense reports from all depot to the contract coordinator

Provide value-added Customer service to the company

Being first point of contact for customers on day to day operations in order to clear any exceptions or issues
Following up on special orders, problems, questions and issues that require immediate attention and answers

Coordinate logistics and transport operations including:

Daily preparation of list of available trucks to be utilized for operations
Coordinate inspection of trucks calibration charts  on monthly basis and tracking of expiry date
Monitor truck’s turn around and give possible feedback to the contract coordinator on siding or offsite repairs.
Liaise with Fleet Maintenance unit to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired in line with maintenance and repair schedules Issuance collection and submission of monthly Truck Movement cards
Collation and processing of Driver Waybills for Invoicing
Manage all driver related activities/performances and escalate recommendations to Drivers Administration

Provide key indices report on operational activities on a daily and weekly basis to identify exceptions
Attendance of operations meetings

Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies.

Ensure that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed.
Liaise with HSSEQ department on any health, safety or security problem which you cannot resolve.
Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all staff under direct management and expected to contribute to the health and safety of all personnel in the overall business unit.
Comply with health and safety procedures and instructions.

People Management

Certify that drivers are well kitted for all operations and compliance to EHS standards
Monitor performance of drivers and provide leadership in achievement of set targets
Self development and continuing personal development
