Accounts Officer

Details:

Ensures that necessary book of accounts ie ledgers, Journals, Vouchers etc. are prepared and maintained on regular interval
To compile and maintain revenue& overhead statements as well as reconciling such statements with respective ledgers
To review and update Property, Plants & Equipment (PPE) register to account for omitted PPE in the books and as well as to calculate monthly PPE depreciation
To prepare weekly finance report for management usage
Prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements by agreeing bank statements balances with cash/bank ledgers
Prepares financial statements schedules and balances i.e.Receivables schedules, Payable schedules, cash schedule, etc
Assists in monthly tax filings within the statutory periods
Organises periodic inventory counts and investigates anomaly observed during the count
Maintenance of proper accounting books and records
Ensure proper accounting records filing system
Carry out routine internal audit exercise
Undertake other tasks assign by line manager/Finance manager
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles, concepts and entries
Good knowledge of basis Nigeria tax laws and regulations
Possess good communication skills (speaking and writing)
Must be a team player
Interpersonal skills
Must exhibit high level of professionalism in all manners and at all time
Be a person of integrity and honesty
Must be coachable and have the quest to learn
Multitasking skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Accounting graduate from a reputable higher institution
NYSC completion is mandatory 
ACA
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
