Sales Engineer (Formwork/Business development/Travel)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The purpose of the position is to identify and develop formwork sales or hire opportunities in targeted African markets to achieve business goals. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall successful execution of new projects in their African markets, ensuring delivery of budgeted sales, profit margins and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Develop a pipeline of project opportunities in clearly defined target markets through a number of different channels;
In co-operation with the Head of New Business Development, and other relevant parties, secure revenue from potential and targeted projects;
To meet and exceed financial targets through strong ability to close deals;
Responsible to build and manage strategic relationships with external stakeholders including contractors, state utilities, governments in your target market, with the primary objective of achieving Sales or Hire business.
Execute new projects to the highest possible standard, ensuring repeat business on upcoming projects;
Extensive traveling in Sub-Saharan Africa on a regular basis.

Requirements

Minimum Matric;
Tertiary qualification in Civil, Business, Economics or a technical field will be an advantage;
5 years sales or technical experience in the formwork of building industry;
Experience in working in a complex multicultural environment;
Will to work in developing markets;
Strong financial skills;
Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into business.
