Code: SR–200 Location: Yaoundè (Cameroun) or Goma (DRC) and travels in countries of the West and Central Africa Region (Cameroun, Tchad, Nigeria, Mauritania, RCA, RDC) Starting date: 02/10/2017 Contract duration: 3 months (renewable) Reporting to: Human Resources Coordinator General Context of the project INTERSOS is an Italian humanitarian organization on the first line that works all over the world bringing assistance to people in danger victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. INTERSOS, with its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively meet the needs of people in crisis, with a particular attention to the vulnerable groups, as women and children. It provides first aid, food, shelter, medical assistance and basic goods. It ensures that basic needs, as education, clean water and health, are met. Its work primarily aims at giving an immediate response in humanitarian crises by bringing emergency relief to the victims of armed conflict, drought, famine, and other natural disasters. Furthermore, its core mission focus on providing primary emergency relief and simultaneously begin to work to promote a return to normal living conditions, the resumption of dialogue and the strengthening of peace, reconstruction and growth. Over the years, INTERSOS has developed operations which encompass activities in multiple sectors, such as health care, legal protection and assistance, warehousing and distribution of essential goods, shelter, water and sanitation, psychosocial support and education. INTERSOS contributes to the provision of food and basic goods and is engaged to ensure fundamental needs such as the right to education in crisis situations, access to clean water and sanitation services and access to vital primary and secondary medical services. General Purpose of the Position
INTERSOS is looking for an experienced HR Recruiter to help with recruitment of expatriates in West and Central Africa area and to develop a collaborative approach of recruitment for uncovered markets to improve the quality of the recruitment.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Active recruitment of expatriate personnel
Detecting new channels and networking in the local market to target suitable candidates. Analysing the local market to improve the efficiency of the recruitment process
Establishing agreements with new local channels and maintaining the communication with INTERSOS
Preparing the vacancies based on INTERSOS standards. Guarantees the homogeneity of the vacancies
Posting the vacancies on the recruitment channels and republishing expired vacancies
Studying the applications and matching them with the vacancy’s requirements (screening/short list);
Interviewing the shortlisted candidates
Giving feedback after the interviews and keeping regular contacts with the candidates to update about the status of the process, verifying applicants references, preparing interview reports and encoding it in the HR platform
Creating an archive in the HR platform of candidates that have been screened/interviewed and not hired
Studying the CVs for future needs and analysing the applicants to profile suitable candidates for the different posts.
Education
Relevant University Degree.
Professional experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources Management especially on recruitment in humanitarian sector
Professional requirements:
Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and all Microsoft Office Program

Highly able to keep confidentiality
Flexible attitude
Able to work independently
Good communication and problem solving skills
Ability to work and adapt in different environments
