Evaluate contractor electrical engineering deliverables and technical submissions.
Verify the integrity and functionality of electrical systems such as substations, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks to meet regulatory standards. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic testing to identify potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols. Perform detailed assessments of electrical components, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as necessary. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to support audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
Design, installation, and maintenance of distribution systems, medium-voltage cable networks (MCCs), lighting infrastructure, earthing systems, and lightning protection systems.
Perform comprehensive site inspections and technical audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and all relevant project requirements.
Oversee ongoing project development and deliver expert technical assessments to support contractor payment verification.
Analyze technical risks, any deviations from standards, and potential issues affecting quality.
Compile assurance reports and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
Professional registration with a recognized body, such as CORE, PE, or Cent, or an equivalent credential is required.
Associate Level candidates must possess a minimum of six years of pertinent experience, whereas Consultant Level applicants are required to have at least twelve years of relevant experience in industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power generation, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.
Proficient in designing, analyzing, and maintaining high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) electrical networks, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution infrastructure.
Proficient in applying IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant industry standards.
Consulting, Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM, third-party inspection, project assurance, or technical audit expertise will be highly advantageous.
Preferred qualifications include obtaining relevant certifications to enhance expertise and credibility in the field.
