Programme: MamaYe-Evidence4Action NigeriaLocation: Abuja, with travel within NigeriaContract type: Consultancy until 31 December 2017Short introductionMamaYe-Evidence4Action Nigeria programme is looking for a proactive individual with experience in coordinating and supporting multi-channel communications and digital campaigns.With experience in administering websites, blogging, coordinating social media activity and supporting the development of creative assets you will ideally have office experience in a communications or administrative position within a health, sustainable development communications, campaigns or public affairs team.We are looking for a motivated candidate who wants to catalyse change so that quality adolescent, maternal and newborn health services can be accessed by the Nigerians who need them most.Summary purpose and objective of role
You will support the communications and digital campaigns function of the MamaYe-Evidence4Action Nigeria programme through:
Coordination of blogs and other digital content for Nigeria web pages, MamaYe Nigeria social media accounts and Mail Chimp emails, aligned to the broader programme content schedule.
Work closely with other members of the Nigeria Country team to identify, write and disseminate maternal, newborn survival and health budget advocacy news, materials, success stories and celebrate organisational champions in Nigeria.
Support the development of creative assets including scorecards, posters, postcards and digital graphics, ensuring they are aligned with brand guidelines.
Collate monthly reporting on digital analytics.
Provide support for photography and story collation at MamaYe-Evidence4Action events, as required.
Person specification
Graduate with experience in supporting and coordinating multi-channel communications and campaigns.
Excellent communications skills – written and verbal with experience in administering digital networks.
Excellent written and verbal ability to explain complex ideas clearly and accurately in plain English.
Proactive, strong administration and organisational skills, effectively plans and prioritises own workload.
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
