To be able to have an effective, efficient and quality SCMS activities for successfully achievement of the CaTSS strategic project document, it is important to have intern to cover Zamfara with oversight from the SCMS Specialist in Sokoto.
This will improve the turnaround time and quality of services delivery to the patients.

Specific Responsibilities

Support health facilities in the generation, collation and validation of bimonthly LMIS reports for PMTCT sites.
Apply SIMS tool at health facilities (PMTCT sites) for quality improvement and follow up with remediation plans to address gap(s) identified.
Follow up with the implementation of the ‘Test & Treat’ strategy at the health facilities through tracking of the status of Pre-ART clients initiated into ART.
Provide support to supported PHCs on quality inventory commodity management.
Supports in redistribution of commodities among health facilities where necessary so as to prevent stock out situation and minimize expiries.
Track, monitor, delineate and provide accountability update of State govt and PEPFAR RTKs at the designated facility
Collaborate with NAFDAC to ensure that facilities report ADRs and transmit same to the country office
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager and supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Post-graduate degree in public health/health science is an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ facility/field level experience with HIV/AIDS programs particularly those related to supply chain management
Have an good grasp of SCMS issues and current literature on SCMS in a developing country context
Strong numeric skills and pays attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload
Logical and flexible approach to solving problems, especially when working under pressure
Monitoring/assessing performance to make improvements or take corrective action
Skilled pharmacist
Ability to demonstrate skills in some component of Pharmaceutical Care
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English
Good organizational skills
Must be registered with the relevant professional body-Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)
Have some basic grasp of SCMS issues and current literature on SCMS in a developing country context
Have basic understanding of comprehensive ART programming, including evaluation
Basic competency in computer applications to carry out management and data analysis as maybe required
Must possess the ability to learn fast and sometimes work independently with a problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action
