Assistant Trade Manager

Job Description

For our Trading Division, located in Europe we are looking for high potential, young talent as Assistant Trade Manager who will be responsible for West Africa Region.

Responsibilities

Coordinate flows of all dry bulk seaborne imports and exports of HC Group in West Africa to take over scheduling duties if needed in short term.
To increase HC market share in West Africa (focus on locations where we need import volumes)
Being in the field and find new customers in coordination with our Business Units where applicable.
To collect and report market intelligence on import flows, prices, volumes, products
To give support to international Trading of Cementitious products and coal & Petcoke. Should be trained to handle solid fuels as well.
Liaising with suppliers and customers to record consumption, deliveries and forecasts.
Working with our shipping team, documentation team and suppliers to secure logistics and vessels for deliveries.
Invoicing and reconciling any related operational issues
Involvement in projections of trade flows to trade manager

Qualifications The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

University Degree, preferably in Engineering, Logistics, Business Management or a related field with graduation in top 20% of a reputable university.
Knowledge / experience in Commodity Trading Business, International Trade, Cement Industry or Logistics field will be an asset.
Must be fluent in English and native in French. (Arabic and/or Spanish will be plus)
Living in or can re-locate in Madrid or Malta.
Strong customer focus (internal and external) with good negotiation and presentation skills should need be
Young and ambitious to learn, self-driven, ready to start from scratch.
Self-motivated professional, team-player, excellent communication.
Proven track record of being dynamic, goal oriented, highly flexible.
Able to handle stress with full dedication to work in a challenging, multinational, complex and fast-paced environment.
Willingness for extensive overseas travel to West Africa region and having ability to work flexible hours.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
