Behavior Change and Training Deputy Program Manager WASH Technical Assistant

Job SummaryThe Behaviour Change and Training DPM will be reporting to the Multisectoral Program Manager and contribute to the definition and implementation of Action Against Hunger mission policies, positioning and strategies. He/she will also be involved in the definition, formulation and reporting of social behaviour change and training needs of projects led by other sectors as well as contributing to the internal and external evaluation of the effects of projects.The Behaviour Change and Training DPM also has responsibilities regarding the capacity building of staff; humanitarian needs identification through needs assessments, monitoring of the evolving situation; context analysis to contribute to the development of future programs and internal coordination.  The successful candidate will have;

A Bachelor’s degree in social science or psychology, public health. Qualifications/Training specific to Nutrition, Health or WASH will be an advantage.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience specifically as master trainer OR trainer of trainers.
Human resource management experience, leadership and motivation/training skills.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
Strong capacity to represent Action Against Hunger and sustain relations with state and local stakeholders. 
Interpersonal skills (team management, communication, reporting, autonomy, planning and organizational skills).
Experience in working with Health, CMAM, WASH and IYCF programming.
Experience in the International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) and Humanitarian context.
Experience with social behaviour change programming.
Previous supervisory experience in NGO settings.
Ability to speak English and Hausa.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and oral presentation skills plus a deep sense of collegiality.
Deep understanding of guiding principles of SBCC and adult training strategies.
