Role Summary
The role is responsible for developing the region’s GPB and cross segment growth opportunities;
Lead and engage in discrete strategic assessments, enhance market industry and customer knowledge;
Establish continuous dialogue with the Product Companies to increase productivity;
Serve as connector or “glue” across the Region structure;
Stay close with the Global Marketing team, HQ COEs;
Understand & track Region NPI needs;
Essential Responsibilities Drive a thorough understanding of the Region marketplace environmental dynamics including but not limited to the following:
Government/Regulatory issues
Dynamics and trends in the O&G industry within the region and with the region customer base
Competitive environment at the tactical level across the O&G portfolio of products with an eye toward commercial and product level differentiation
Drive an understanding of the Region market potential for the O&G portfolio of products including but not limited to the following:
Region market size and entitlement by product type
Financial forecast by product type
Major opportunity identification over a medium term time horizon
Support tactical region project needs as required to advance market knowledge or in support of different P&Ls including but not limited to the following:
VOC
Deployment of segmentation methodology (Gold Standards, CECOR) at the region level
Customer Segmentation
Oversee region specific demand creation activities including customer communication activities
Drive regional sales force preparedness through development of commercialization plans for Communication’s team execution
Willingness to travel as required to support the needs of the business
Performance Measures:
Development of Regional Marketing’s role in the region business operating rhythm
Quality of market analysis and translation into an executable region specific strategic plan
Quality and timeliness of tactical project completion in support of the region and P&Ls
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a Technical or Marketing discipline
Significant experience in Sales & Marketing and PM with demonstrated marketing experience and command of marketing tools and techniques
Demonstrated understanding of the broad O&G market
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
An understanding of the regional business climate and practices
Project Capabilities
Desired Characteristics:
Background in OFS, multiple O&G segments, recent marketing experience in GE Oil & Gas or O&G strategy consulting
MBA preferred
