Job Description
Manager Programme Management role’s core purpose is to supervise multiple supply chain projects and outsourced partners for outsourced functions in the Opco’s supply chain. This role works closely together with the capital projects to ensure the supply chain activities are executed effectively and efficiently.
Lead creation of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals
Ensure effective implementation of sub-divisional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, business plans and support
Source, induct, and manage talent in accordance with legislative guidelines
Ensure open communication channels with staff and implement change management interventions where necessary
Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives for the team
Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implementable performance review program
Performance manage resources in accordance with HR policy and legislation where necessary
Actively participate in leadership team and develop skills of own team
Set up /participate in ad hoc and operational meetings
Report at process and functional level
Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/client or cost impact if not resolved
Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution
Set up and manage project status meetings
Review and identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
Manage budgets Sign-off / make decisions regarding operational changes
Review performance of CoE against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAs
Create and monitor plan for continuous improvement
Review performance of CoE
Review reports on a monthly basis from CoE relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
Review reports on specific projects as per the defined timelines
Sourcing, R2O, Inventory, Warehousing, Logistics
Resolve issues/ queries between Capital Projects Team and Supply Chain Management Team.
Be responsible to ensure timely delivery of items to ensure smooth functioning of the Projects
Review the Master Demand Schedule by various projects to leverage economies of Scale in procurement
Approve decisions to expedite / delay the sourcing / logistics based on changes to project schedules
Ensure skill transfer for staff development, motivation and business continuity
Ensure the team is led, motivated and rewarded to achieve high performance areas
Manage team (including recruitment, on-boarding, attrition)
Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress, and maintain motivation
Set up appropriate structure to meet departmental management objectives
Job Condition:
Normal MTNN working conditions
May be required to work extended hours
Experience & Training
First degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Fluent in English
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/ or equivalent (preferred)
Relevant certification in procurement or supply chain
Working experience in Oracle
Minimum of 6 years’ experience which includes:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
Experience working in a medium to large organization
Supply Chain Management experience
Vendor management Experience
Working experience in Oracle Training:
CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
CBAP(Certified Business Analysis Professional)
SCOR-P (Supply Chain Operations Reference Model – Professional)
