We are in search of a skilled, forward-thinking, and student-centered ICT / Computer Hardware & GSM Repair Teacher to strengthen our secondary school’s faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction in ICT and technical disciplines while cultivating creativity, self-discipline, and experiential learning among students.

The ideal candidate will deliver ICT and foundational computer engineering instruction, covering computer hardware maintenance and GSM/mobile phone repairs in alignment with the school’s curriculum and established educational benchmarks. Additionally, the teacher will mentor students in cultivating practical digital and technical proficiencies essential for contemporary technology and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement innovative policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate closely with senior management to align departmental goals with broader business objectives, ensuring cohesive integration and sustainable growth. Manage cross-functional projects, allocating resources effectively while mitigating risks and addressing challenges proactively. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development through mentorship, training initiatives, and performance evaluations. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize outcomes. Serve as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and resolve operational discrepancies. Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines while maintaining a commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability practices.

Deliver classroom and hands-on instructional sessions in accordance with established schemes of work, lesson plans, and institutional policies.

Educate secondary school students in ICT, computer appreciation, computer hardware maintenance, and basic GSM/mobile phone repair techniques.

Craft dynamic lessons, in-class activities, hands-on exercises, homework assignments, and evaluations designed to captivate and educate.

Proficiently apply hands-on expertise in assembling computers, diagnosing technical issues, installing software solutions, and performing routine device upkeep to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.

Teach students the fundamentals of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile phones, while ensuring they handle repair tools with proper safety measures.

Evaluate students’ academic accomplishments and hands-on achievements, offering constructive feedback and targeted assistance as needed.

Recognize students facing learning difficulties and offer targeted support and remediation as required.

Ensure discipline is maintained and foster a conducive learning atmosphere within both classroom and practical laboratory settings.

Monitor students throughout practical activities and enforce adherence to established safety protocols.

Ensure meticulous documentation of lesson execution, attendance records, assessment outcomes, and individual student progress.

Maintain the ICT laboratory equipment, tools, and devices in optimal working condition through diligent care and adherence to established standards.

Attend mandatory staff meetings, school programs, training sessions, and extracurricular activities as directed.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field is required, with candidates holding an HND also eligible for consideration.

Candidates must possess TRCN certification and meet the required educational qualifications.

A background with hands-on certification or direct experience in GSM/mobile device repairs and computer hardware maintenance would be beneficial.

A minimum of three years of instructional experience in a secondary school setting or a technical training program is required.

Proficient in ICT infrastructure, operating systems, diagnostic troubleshooting, and mobile device repair techniques.

Exceptional classroom leadership, outstanding communication abilities, and strong interpersonal competencies are essential.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to educating adolescents and guiding student development.
