Senior Associate, Real Estate Asset Development

Responsibilities:SummaryReport to: Vice President, Real Estate Asset DevelopmentThe Senior Associate will provide assistance to the Vice President in the planning and organization of all activities in the Real Estate Asset Development Unit.Responsibilities

 Assist in the implementation of the AAML strategic plan which includes attracting co- investors to develop and manage a portfolio of real estate assets.
Manage development projects from inception to completion, including project budgets and pro formats, design, zoning, marketing and leasing efforts.
Assist in the identification of potential real estate investment opportunities; negotiate deal structure with potential JV partners including land owners.
Assist in developing relationships with owners of real estate assets including land and other third party channels who can provide access to JV and investment opportunities.
Assist in developing relationships with providers of capital including both equity and debt to provide financing for transactions.
Create project schedules and manage all aspects of projects to achieve deadlines.
Review design concepts and drawings for Real Estate Projects and provide feedback.
Make necessary site visits to review progress of construction and mock-ups and participate in resolving challenges.
Provide insights into real estate research, trends and analysis – across all segments of the Real Estate
Represent AAML at Real Estate conferences and other events as necessary for generating visibility of AAML/partnerships/interest from real estate asset owners.
Assist in the engagement of key players in the sector including regulatory authorities, banks, insurance companies, professional firms, AMCON.
Assist in the development of a plan to opportunistically acquire assets from AMCON with distressed asset owners or as sponsor.
Work with head of principal investments to manage and oversee the capital deployment into transactions to ensure funds are deployed as per execution plan.
Execution of assigned tasks and responsibilities as directed the Vice President, Real Estate Asset Development.

KPIsTBDQualification and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Built Environment or Engineering from a reputable University.
 A minimum of seven (7) years overall post NYSC experience.
 Minimum of five (5) years in Project/Development Management experience.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including MS Project, MS Excel
Intermediate knowledge of construction and consultancy contracts
Intermediate understanding of Real Estate Economics and Marke
