Job Profile
This position reports directly to the Director of Legal and will work closely with other senior leaders across the organisation. This role will require transaction and corporate law experience and a strong interest in retail. Also, the ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of complex legal issues that involves the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel to the organisation senior leaders and assist in due diligence, transaction
Required Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience as an attorney in a fast growing technology company and/or reputable law firm serving clients in Retail,Technology, FMCG or related industries
LLB (or equivalent) degree from a reputable institution
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Self-starter with ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision
Ability to assess risk and provide concise business-focused legal advice relating to complex business
Experience working on complex legal problems relating to cross-border transactional law, corporate law, and Labour law
Strong understanding of legal issues relating to retail business.
Significant experience in drafting and negotiating regulatory permits/licenses
Experience working with multiple business functions and internal clients (e.g.,Product Management)
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Excellent oral and written communication and time-management skills
