An ICT Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for verifying that software applications and computer systems adhere to stringent performance, reliability, and security benchmarks. This role involves developing testing methodologies, identifying system defects, and working alongside development teams to address issues prior to product release.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, ensure adherence to industry standards, and maintain high performance across teams. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflow efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Serve as a key liaison between departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to align efforts and achieve collective goals. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.
Design and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts—covering both manual and automated methodologies—to ensure thorough evaluation of software functionality and performance.
Defect Tracking: Utilize tracking systems such as JIRA to detect, document, and monitor software defects or performance issues throughout their lifecycle.
Quality Standards: Ensure ICT systems comply with internal policies, accredited industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with software developers and cross-functional teams to collaboratively investigate the underlying causes of issues and validate solutions before deployment.
Under different operational conditions, assess how the system performs, its capacity to manage load, and the integrity of its processes.
