Duties
The Bursar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Finance Officer of the College, and is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration, planning and control of the financial affairs of the College.
Qualifications and Experience
The candidate must possess a good Honours Degree or H.N.D in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized tertiary institution, with at least 17 years post- qualification experience of which most part of it should have been in an educational institution of higher earning.
He/She must possess a professional qualification like ACA, CPA, ACCA, ANAN, and must be knowledgeable in financial management and in Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Possession of a higher Degree will be an added advantage. The person applying for this position must be of impeccable character.
He/She should be trustworthy, have adequate leadership skills,ample experience, integrity, high degree of competence and dependability.
The candidate should not be more than fifty-five (55) years old at the point of appointment. Also, candidates that have put in thirty one (31) years and above in service need not apply.
Conditions of Service
The appointment shall be for a period of five (5) years on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration is as applicable to the post of a Bursar of Colleges of Education in Delta State and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council.
