Manager – Diagnostic Centre

Job Description

A world class diagnostic centre in Ikeja (Lagos State) now requires a manger to develop and implement effective and efficient systems to ensure the management of all clinical and non clinical activities within the Centre and raise its profile within the community.
As a Centre Manager, the quality of care and safety of operations are fundamental to the ethos of the Centre and you would be expected to have strong interpersonal skills to secure the co-operation of a wide range of stakeholders; strong financial acumen to secure the profitability of the Centre as well as a background in Medical Sciences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure high Quality and effective Centre Operations
Ensure adequate ICT systems are implemented to collect, collate and analyse clinical and non-clinical data to enable performance measurement.
Respond to complaints from users and other stakeholders within given timeframes, and promote patient and stakeholder satisfaction
Market the Centres services to both the Public and Private institutions & corporations
Manage clinical, professional, technical and administrative staff.
Facilitate collaborative and multi-disciplinary team working between all staff.
Set targets, and conduct regular performance reviews/appraisals.
Set annual financial targets in line wth the Boards agenda
Prepare and present annual Budgets to the Board of Directors
Ensure compliance with legislation and good practice relating to health and safety and quality assurance.
Ensure that all the required infrastructure/Assets to support all dinicol activities are in good working condition
Promote and Develop the Centre and its activities
Manage the relationship with LASUTH, Lagos State Ministry of Health and other
Healthcare professionals
Work closely with and report to the Board of Directors of the BT Diagnostic Centre

Person Specifications

Degree in Medical Sciences.
Working knowledge of business systems, financial management and investments.
Working knowledge of Diagnostic Centres
Knowledge of contractual roles and responsibilities in PPP setting
10 years proven experience in health services within a Diagnostic Centre or hospital setting of which 5 must be at managerial level
Working Knowledge of Marketing, finance, HR, IT, and facilities management.
Experience of working with a multi disciplinary team
Experience of staff management
Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work with people on all levels with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work.
Respect for patients and confidentiality.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, Clinical and non clinical Staff.
Excellent Information management skills.
