Procurement Officer

JOB DESCRIPTIONProcurement Officer prepares purchase orders on behalf of the company, also reviews prices and product specifications from various suppliers to determine which would provide the best deal. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Process bakery’s purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority. 
 Assess, and recommend supplier tenders, quotations, and proposals.
 Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships
 Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists.
 Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
 Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased in bakery department.  
 Develops and supervises food handling procedures, ensuring they are carried out in a proper and safe manner. 
 Develop and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management.
 Ensures the integrity of the competitive process in selecting appropriate suppliers, ensuring that items being supplied are of standard.

 Must have excellent communication skills.
 Must be very smart and proactive.
 Must be flexible and be able to adapt quickly to any situation.
 Must have good interpersonal skills.
 Must be able to work under extreme pressure and be a goal getter.
 Ability to multitask is very key.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Minimum of  HND in Business Administration or any Management related courses.
 Minimum of three (3) years Experience.
