Job Description: A top mining company with operations in West Africa is actively seeking a Mine Manger to join their ever growing team. Responsibilities:
Manage all mining, Hydrological and processing activities
Ensure production of 500TPD average
Work half of the time at site, not an office job
Successful candidate must have good organizational skills and a proactive leader with communication & team building skills
Good understanding of Geotechnical parameters and working in wet environments
Includes rain water diversion, trenching so as to lead the water to main sump
Drilling & blasting in wet holes, planning on use of ANFO max, drilling patterns, knowledge in firing sequence
Experience in Open pit operation in wet conditions
Take appropriate measures to prevent Pit Slope failure in Soft ground condition
Continue with plans to convert the abandoned Underground mine to open pit
Requirements / Qualifications:
B.E. (Mining Engineering)
First or Second Class Mine Managers’ Certificate
8+ years of experience in operating open pit mines (Metalliferous)
Contract Position: Market Related Salary
Contract Position
Residential based – Single Status (3 Weeks leave every 6 months)
