Job Summary

The Food Technologist plays a key role in guaranteeing the consistent delivery of premium, safe, and compliant cashew nut products. This position encompasses the supervision of production and packaging processes, the development and execution of product formulations, the enforcement of rigorous food safety protocols, adherence to regulatory requirements, and the meticulous documentation of production records to enhance quality assurance and drive ongoing improvements.

Ensuring adherence to food safety standards and regulatory requirements is a critical responsibility within this role. The position demands meticulous attention to detail to guarantee compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including but not limited to HACCP, GMP, and FDA guidelines. Additionally, the role involves conducting routine inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate potential risks and uphold the highest standards of food safety and regulatory compliance.

Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies at all times.

Ensure compliance by establishing, maintaining, and overseeing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other essential food safety standards throughout operations.

Perform systematic evaluations and reviews of manufacturing and packaging operations to verify compliance with food safety regulations.

Investigate quality and food safety concerns to develop and propose appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

Facilitate internal and external audits, certification initiatives, and regulatory inspections to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Develop and oversee the ingredient formulations for a diverse range of product variants, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the production process.

Ensures adherence to established quality standards through meticulous inspection and rigorous testing of products or processes. Identifies defects, deviations, or non-conformities, and documents findings to facilitate corrective actions. Collaborates with production and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement preventive measures. Develops and maintains quality control procedures, including sampling plans and inspection protocols, to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency. Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational and customer expectations.

Perform comprehensive quality assessments on incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finalized products to ensure adherence to established standards and specifications.

Ensure packaging meets established quality standards, verify label accuracy, and maintain compliance with product traceability regulations.

To support data-driven decision-making and ongoing enhancements, evaluate quality metrics and compile detailed reports for leadership review and strategic planning.

Responsible for maintaining accurate and organized documentation and overseeing record management processes to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Maintain meticulous and precise documentation of production procedures, quality control assessments, batch records, and formulation information.

Maintain accurate records of deviations, corrective measures, and modifications to established processes.

Compile and submit routine production, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance reports on a scheduled basis.

Oversee document control systems to ensure compliance with both organizational policies and applicable regulatory standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with at least three years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related discipline. Proficiency in network security, threat detection, and incident response is essential, as is familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues are critical. Certification in CISSP, CEA, or Compton Security+ is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting security findings to stakeholders. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines and compliance requirements.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of two to four years of hands-on experience in food processing, manufacturing, or quality assurance is required, with a strong preference for those with a background in the nut processing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

Proficient in food safety frameworks such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and comparable regulatory standards.

Proven expertise in food production processes, quality control, and product formulation is essential.

Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications and production documentation systems is essential.
