Main Duties & Responsibilities
Development and Implementation of Policies and Procedures
Initiate Human Resource policies, develop processes, implement and manage the entire Human Resource function from recruitment, retention (including compensation, talent management), industrial relations to separation strategies across 4 West African countries.
Development, Management & Implementation of strategies to ensure sustainable succession, career planning and talent development.
Monitoring of External Environment to ensure best HR practices and compliance with applicable laws.
Management of employee communications to ensure positive operational climate and employee relations that focuses on preventive labour industrial disharmony.
Key Requirements Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor Degree or Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration or Organization Development. Master’s in Business Administration with Human Resources or OD option and professional Certification in Human Resources Management will be an advantage.
At least fifteen (15) years relevant post qualification experience, seven (7) of which should be on managerial level.
Good knowledge of labour laws and related regulations and knowledge of compensation issues in both francophone and Anglophone countries.

Knowledge of, and understanding of Union operations combined with excellent negotiation skills.
Demonstrable knowledge of development of systems for sustainable succession, career planning and talent development.
Experience in the management of human resources outsourcing contracts.
Demonstrable experience in the development and application of strategic HR management, policies, principles and practices especially in Compensation and recruitment.
Knowledge of ILO Conventions.
Hands on experience in the development of HR policies and its implementation processes.
Knowledge of Income Taxation across both Francophone and Anglophone.
Skillful in use of MS Office (Word, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems.)
Ability to work in a diverse multicultural environment. Team player who can seamlessly work effectively with other personnel.
Excellent Leadership skills with proven ability to mentor and develop employee competencies within the company.
Very fluent in English (Spoken and Written). Ability to communicate convincingly to influence stakeholders for achievement of corporate objectives.
Added Advantage -Ability to speak and write in French.
